2012 Seniors
I'm so excited about our new Facebook Contest for 2012 Seniors! Do you know a 2012 Senior who would like to get their Senior Pictures absolutely free? Nominate them for our "You've Got A Friend" Contest. Their friends can vote for them and the Senior with the most votes will win a free session and Bronze Package (prize valued at over $600). Nominations will be accepted until June 20th and voting will be open from June 20th to July 5th. To nominate someone, simply go to RP Photos Senior and post their name on our wall then email their name, the school they are graduating from and a link to their Facebook page to us. Then be sure to come back on June 20th to cast your vote to support your friend!

Three things I learned . . .
The first week of May every year I attend a professional seminar called Texas School of Photography. It's the largest program of it's kind and I always enjoy the education, inspiration and time with colleagues. This year there were over 1,000 in attendance, representing 37 states and 8 countries. Here's three things I learned:
1) If it frustrates you, change it! How fun to think about the studio (and life) in this context. I've enjoyed identifying some of the things that frustrate me and realizing that many of them can simply be eliminated and the others can be changed.
2) Do the things you love. Somewhere in my quest to create the technically perfect portrait, I quit doing the things that made me fall in love with photography in the first place. So, time to refocus!
3) Always check the weather before traveling. Who would have thought the temperature would drop 40 degrees in one day or that the high would be 51 in Dallas in May!

Aaron
I had a great time this morning doing Aaron's Character Study. He's a really unique kid with a lot of cool interests. My favorite quote from the day was his answer to the question, "Are you ever going to get married?". "NO, all they do is make you buy stuff and then they want you to move couches!". Hmmm, wonder what's been going on at Aaron's house?!?
